Ramona Lorene (nee Godfrey) Raske, 87, was born on December 7, 1938 in Minneapolis Minnesota, At the time of her going Home to be with Her LORD, on April 1, 2026 she resided at 2852 Leeward Way, Bellingham, Washington.
Ramona quietly and peacefully breathed her last breath on earth at 6:47 AM, to wake to take her first breath of celestial air as she had her bliss-filled meeting with her Savior. She trusted Christ for salvation at age 15. Her heart was changed by the grace of God, and from that point she lived to please Him who saved her.
She is predeceased by her loving daughter Robin, by her parents Violet and Ralph Godfrey, three sisters, Sharalyn Caughel, Bonnie Barnett, and Julie Crapser, and various aunts and uncles.
She is survived, by her husband Arthur Raske, by her son Daniel and wife Marla, and Weston and wife Judy; by her grandchildren Lucas Raske, Kameryn Raske, Matthew Raske, and Leanne (nee Raske) Drover, and two great-grandchildren Andrew Drover and Simon Drover, and several nieces and a nephew.
She lived most of the years of her youth in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from high school in 1956. She will be remembered for her careful and diligent care to her family, home, and for her detailed attention to excellence in all her endeavors, which included raising her family, and various crafts that created a home with beauty. Most of her crafts were time-consuming placing 1,000's of tiny pixels creating pictures to beautify the home - or to give to friends. These pixel-pictures totaled about 100
She married Arthur Raske on December 17, 1959 and became his most-valued Christmas present that lasted 66 years.
Ramona's final resting place is at Enterprise Cemetery, Ferndale, WA
The funeral service commemorating and celebrating her life, will be at The Lynden Community Center, 401 Grover St. in Lynden WA at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 11. Finger food to follow.
