Kelsy Rae Logan passed away in Ferndale, WA on August 1st, 2025. Kelsy was born on August 1st, 1991 in Lihue, HI.
Kelsy spent her early childhood years on the Island of Kauai where she enjoyed a relaxed island lifestyle with Ohana. At 13 months old, she learned to wear shoes in the aftermath of Hurricane Iniki. At 17 months she was swimming and deep diving for quarters. She sang and danced her way through life. She was our sunshine. After relocating to the PNW, Kelsy continued being active. She loved her FHS soccer team. She also tried her hand at skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and even hot air ballooning.
She graduated from Ferndale High and continued her education in Astoria, Oregon before attending Western Iowa Tech College to study and receive certifications in the HVAC trade.
She enjoyed people and continually adapted to new environments. She brought joy to us and so many others along the way. She had a stunning sense of humor and a creative, innovative approach to life.
During her lifetime, she sustained many injuries resulting in chronic pain and fear. For years she fought the good fight to be free of those things. During those times she showed faith, courage, and determination. She valued tradition, loyalty, and family.
She loved her emotional support dogs over the years: Jake, Moki, Blue and the Pug, Bruno.
Kelsy is preceded in death by her aunt Barbara.
Kelsy is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Lynn Logan, aunts and uncles Jeanne Baker, Marti Mount, Greg Mincheff, Kent Logan, Brian Logan, Gregg Logan, and their families, and her cousins Stephanie Mount, Patricia McAnany, Ken Logan, Kevin Logan, Hunter Logan, and Rex Logan.
A Graveside service for Kelsy will be held at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale on September 23rd, 2025, at 2:30pm. An Open House will follow at Wildflower Funeral Concepts, 5706 4th Ave, Ferndale, from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
The morning of her birthday, Kelsy passed at her family home into the arms of the Lord. We will all miss her. Kelsy was a precious gift. To know her was to love her.

Fly high with the Angels sweet niece, you will always be in my ❤️ heart!
Kelsey and I spent very little time together growing up. Being cousins on opposite sides of the country didn't present many opportunities to "hang out", but from the limited time spent together I remember her being fun, energetic, funny, and specifically I remember one night where we made entirely too many s'mores! I miss you Kelsey, but I will remember that cheerful, fun, and yes... chocolate-covered girl.
Uncle Scott, you were my dad's best friend growing up. As a father, I can't imagine what you and Lynn are going through. I love you both and I am praying for you.
PSA 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
May you draw near to God through this time of sorrow and grief.
Kelsy was a spitfire of energy and passionate about her friends, family, and pets. Her smile would light up a room and her laugh, infectious. She liked to explore and was up for adventure: riding a bike 40 miles during Iowa's RAGBRAI on a whim. Eating multiple ears of corn at a church picnic while grinning the entire time. She loved the outdoors and always remembered her Hawaiian roots fondly. A truly loving, sweet soul, who's life was lost way too soon. I hope with time, remembering her will bring a smile to everyone's face, and warmth to their hearts. She would want nothing less.
Kelsy Rae Logan was a free spirit. When she was just five, with parents in tow, she moved from Hawaii to our neighborhood. We have no sidewalks on our block; the grassy yards slope down to meet the road. The first time I laid eyes on Kelsy, she was striding boldly down the road, alone....a little bitty girl on her way to somewhere! The Kelsy I soon met in person, was a little girl with big ideas, a big smile, a twinkle in her eyes, and - always - a story to tell. The last time I saw Kelsy was in her parents' home. I had stopped by to see her Mom. Kelsy had the same sparkle, and big smile. She generously offered to share her snack of smoked salmon, and chattered openly about what was currently happening in her one wild and precious life. The loss of this shooting star of a girl leaves a big hole in the lives of all who loved her unique and bold spirit.
Kelsy Rae was a Beautiful girl with a Beautiful smile! My deepest condolences! Joanne
Kelsey was truly a ray of sunshine in my day. I cherished the time we spent working together. I have a vivid memory of a particularly difficult day when we went to the water to "squish" our toes in the sand. She had a wonderful way of reminding me to slow down and savor the little things. I will forever carry her in my heart and soul and feel deeply honored that she allowed me into her world and all its adventures.
My first Kelsey Rae experience was in the fall of 1995 Princeville on the Island of Kauai. We were visiting Scott, Lynn and meeting Kelsey Rae for the first time. I remember this little chatterbox who was full of questions and loved the swimming pool. Our one week vacation was a non-stop go-go due to Kelsey Rae's energy level. Some things never change, always a wonderful personality and a great laugh to match. RIP Uncle Gregg
My first Kelsey Rae experience was in the fall of 1995 in Princeville at the north end of the Island of Kaui Hawaii. I was introduced to this little chatterbox full of questions and antics, keeping us all entertained. Kelsey Rae never stopped, in and out of the swimming pool, come with me, look at this look at that....non-stop. The angels upstairs will have their hands full. Love Gregg
My wife Stacy and I met Kelsy at a biblical finance class at CTK church. She certainly stood out (in the best way) in our class. She was excited to learn, was a great participant and asked the best questions. She wasn't afraid to ask the questions that everyone wanted to know the answers to, but wouldn't ask themselves. We got to know her even better on the shuttle bus rides to and from church. Her bubbly outlook on life will be greatly missed. We share in Scott and Lynn's grief as they navigate this painful time. May God bless and grant you and your family peace and comfort. Brian and Stacy Phelps
Kelsy was always bubbly and full of zest. She was witty and had a knack for saying or doing the unexpected. Her memory will always shine brightly in our hearts.
RIP Kelsy. You will be missed.
