Obituary For Jeffrey Allen Young

Jeffrey Allen Young, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on December 24th, 2025, in Lynden, Washington. Jeff was born on May 20th, 1968, in Harrisonville, Missouri to his parents William and Jeanette (Arant) Young.

Jeff was never one to miss out on a get-together and was always quick with a joke and his wit. He possessed a wicked and dry sense of humor. Jeff loved to laugh and attended many comedy shows and festivals, Jeff’s ability to fire off a move line or a Seinfeld quote at any time with perfect timing was incredible.

Jeff was an avid lover of sports, a passionate softball player, and even better teammate. Making many friends on and off the diamond, he loved gathering after games and partook in cold beverages while laughing and enjoying the moment. Jeff loved football and the Miami Dolphins. Jeff attended Spring Training in Arizona with his friends Justin, Rob, Matt, Mike, Jim, and others for many years.

Jeff “Heywood” Young is survived by his wife Kristi, his dog 7, his father William, two sisters Melissa and Melinda, two nieces Kendra and Ashley, one nephew Kyle, as well as his great niece and nephews and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette.

Heywood will be missed by his family and many friends including the Marsh family: Matt, Jen, Hannah, and Diva.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
