Delan Kem Memmott

09/03/1942 - 06/01/2026

Delan Kem Memmott, age 83, passed away in Blaine, Washington, on June 1, 2026. His family celebrates a life marked by loving kindness, gentleness, faithful service, and deep devotion to his family and to Jesus Christ.

Delan was born on September 3, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thomas Kemner Memmott and Ermine Leavitt. He was raised in Bountiful, Utah, where his childhood was shaped by both loss and resilience. After the death of his mother when he was five years old, Delan was lovingly cared for by his grandmother, Emma Jane Stone Memmott, who moved from Scipio, Utah, to help keep the family together. He later welcomed his stepmother, Julie May, into his life.

As a young man, Delan served a two-and-a-half-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denmark. After returning home, he married his eternal companion, Jerrilyn Fuller, on May 11, 1967, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they built a home centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ, family, and unconditional love.

Delan worked diligently throughout his life to provide for his family. One of his great blessings was overseeing the maintenance of Church historical sites in the Midwest, where he took pride in caring for sacred places and sharing them with Church leaders, guests, and family members. Later in life, Delan and Jerri served together in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. He also served faithfully as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple and, after moving to Washington, in the Vancouver British Columbia Temple.

Following Jerri’s passing in 2020, Delan moved to Blaine, Washington, to be near his daughters. In his final years, he found joy in his grandchildren, temple service, and the beauty of the Washington coast.

Delan is survived by his children: Brian (Lori) Memmott, Stephanie (Brian) Fuller, Jamie Memmott, David (Brooke) Memmott, Melissa Memmott, and Emily (Jake) Olsen; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his siblings Muriel Roberts, Tom (Charlotte) Memmott, and Linda Strunk.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jerrilyn; infant daughter, Catherine; parents, Thomas and Ermine; stepmother, Julie; sister, Kae Weaver; brother John Michael “Mike” Memmott and brother-in-law Doug Roberts.

A celebration of Delan’s life will be held July 11, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Rexburg North Stake Center, 314 East 2nd North, Rexburg, Idaho.
