Lydia Lee (Ewing) Stone passed peacefully in her home, in the company of friends, just days after her 79th birthday, of unspecified natural causes. Lydia was a gifted artist with a marvelous ability to portray divine light in her prolific drawings and paintings, which she enjoyed sharing generously with those whom she appreciated in her local Bellingham community. Lydia was a dedicated practitioner of meditation, a beautiful soul, and had a terrific sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life was held for her at a friend’s home in Bellingham, WA on February 1, 2026.

As per her wishes, her remains were released to the ocean, in one of her favorite places.
