En Junio 18 del 2025, Amelia Antonia Tenorio fue llamada a un mejor hogar. Ella estaba acompañada de su familia cuando falleció en la ciudad de Bellingham WA. Amelia tenía 90 años de edad. Nació en Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México, sus padres Pascual Palacios y María Trinidad Tenorio. Amelia vivió en Mazatlán hasta el año de 1998, y de 1998 hasta 2012 ella vivió entre las ciudades de Mazatlán y Bellingham. A partir del año 2012 se estableció en la ciudad de Bellingham para vivir con su familia.

Amelia desde muy temprana edad amaba bailar. Cuando era joven, ella iba a las tardeadas y bailaba con todos, no importaba la edad del bailador. Todos la conocían porque todos bailaban con ella. Ya cuando nació Alex, su hija, Amelia bailaba al menos una canción con Alex en las fiestas, esa canción era “ El Sinaloense “. En sus últimos años sus nietos tuvieron la oportunidad de bailar con ella.

Amelia fué una madre muy recta, pero fué una abuela muy amorosa y juguetona que dejaba que sus nietos hicieran lo que ellos querían.

En sus últimos días, antes de ser llamada a su nuevo hogar, Amelia tuvo la oportunidad de decirle a sus seres queridos en la forma especial y diferente de cada uno. Momento especial que vivió Argentina, su nuera, cantando las dos “ Cielito Lindo “.

Amelia será recordada con amor por su hija Alex Aguilar, su nuera Argentina Dávila Lavín, sus nietos Elyor Lavín Ortiz y Alexis Yurik Aguilar, y sus bisnietos Sebastian Elyor Lavín Ortiz Lopez, Iker Ivan Lavín Ortiz Lopez y Matias Jayce Lavín Lopez.

Amelia finalmente está descansando en Woodlawn Cemetery.

Amelia Antonia Tenorio was called Home on June 18, 2025. She passed away in Bellingham, WA surrounded by family. Amelia was 90 years old. She was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico to Pascual Palacios and Maria Trinidad Tenorio. Amelia lived in Mazatlán until 1998 and from 1998 until 2012 she lived between Mazatlán and Bellingham. In 2012 she settled in Bellingham full time to be with family.

From a very young age Amelia loved to dance. When she was young, she went to the afternoon gatherings in her hometown and danced with everyone, young and old. Everyone knew Amelia because everyone danced with her. Once her daughter, Alex, was born, Amelia would dance at least one dance with Alex at every party. “El Sinaloense” was their song. In her later years she danced with her grandchildren every chance she got.

Amelia was a strict mother, but playful and loveable grandmother. Her grandkids could get away with anything.

In her final days, before she was called to her New Home, Amelia took the opportunity to say goodbye to each of her loved ones, each in their own special way. With her daughter-in-law, Argentina she sang “Cielito Lindo.”

Amelia is survived by her daughter Alex Aguilar; daughter-in-law Argentina Davila Lavin; grandsons Elyor Lavin Ortiz and Alexis Yurik Aguilar; and great grandsons Sebastian Elyor Lavin Ortiz Lopez, Iker Ivan Lavin Ortiz Lopez, and Matias Jayce Lavin Ortiz Lopez.

Amelia’s final resting place is at Woodlawn Cemetery.
